Does anyone know if the 25 watt Zoomed torpedo shaped red bulb will

fit in the standard dome that sits on the tank screen? I want to order a lower wattage but they only make the torpedo shaped ones in the lower wattage. I hate to order 5 and find out they don't work.

It might depend on what kind of dome reflector you want to use.
I was using a torpedo shaped bulb for my crested gecko recently. I wanted to watch it at night. I have a Flukers black dome reflector that is rated up to 60 watts. The bulb was too long for the dome, and it would not sit flat on the screen. So, I had to return it.
It will work if you clamp the lamp to the edge of the tank though.

I was having this same problem. I'd clamp my fixture but I would have to leave my screens off and with a cat that likes to check everything out that's not an option.

Curse this cold weather and cheap windows!
