does anyone know what this is?

when i was in playa del carmen-mexico...these lil' guys were runnin around all over the place. does anyone know what they are? i know its a gecko...but what species?

From here it almost looks like a golden gecko but its too light.
I have no clue, i'd just say a Mediterranean gecko they are the most common.

Looks like a Mediterranean Gecko (Hemidactylus turcicus) to me, too.

Where is that in Mexico. Mexico is a big place. There are native climbing geckos down there.

Id also say a Mediterranean house gecko I live in Phoenix and see them every night they are full grown in that picture but very hostile almost like a tokay live on walls eating bugs at night all over houses

yea, it was in playa del carmen...they were all over the walls. they were pretty aggressive. i caught 13 in my room in 1 week...thanks guys...

actually yea...they were almost exactly like those photos...kinda looked clear like that where you could see there inside when they were close to the lights on the walls.

I'll go ahead and "up" my certainty: I'm 99% sure the animal you pictured is Gehyra mutilata. Foot structure unlike that of Gekko or Hemidactylus. Semi-transparent skin is another giveaway...

not a super expert, but im gonna say its probably not a mediteranean gecko. just cuz of that crazy line going down its back. ive never seen that on any of the geckos here.
