so i kept one of the first 3 babies i ever hatched to see what it would grow up to be. He was born on August 10 2006. i have been watching his weight and he is already 52 grams at 4 1/2 months. Does he seem to be growing quicker than most leos? his mother is a 2 year old 62 gram hypo tangerine, and the father was unknown but probably the same. also, does this mean that he may be ready to breed, or does it still need to be a year or so before breeding him?

I would not say that it is uncommon to have a leopard grow that fast. I have a female that I held back that is 5 months old and is at 63 grams, and another that is 6 months old and is 71 grams.

I think that your male is ready to breed. If he were a female, it would be a different story though. His size is just an indication that you take care of him well. Good job!
