Does the temp probe stay or get removed

Do you tape down the probe and leave it there or do you have to remove it and check it like once a week. I am concerned that the Gecko will try to bite it. Also if you do leave it it is there a good way of hiding it?

I leave mine. I hide it behind the skull in its cage.

I leave mine in as well, I actually leave it right inside his warm hide and he has never even paid attention to it. I'm pretty he won't bother it if you leave it in, they can smell and taste things and make sure it's food before eating it so I'm sure that won't cause a problem.
