ok so my little guy doesn't seem to really like it when i dust his food with the calcium powder. he will spit the cricket or mealie right back out. and try it again a couple of times, poking at it and licking it, untill he realizes that it's taste is not going to change. and then goes for the ones that do not have any on them.. I do have a dish with just the calcium in it. is that enough? or should i just keep dusting them and giving them to him that way :main_huh:

I am using the sticky tounge minera-all. it's what dude sold me at the reptile center?

I noticed that at first my little girl didn't like it so much when her mealies were dusted - but she recently started to eat them! I think its just a different taste for them... but I'm glad you posted, I had similar questions!

I use Tetrofauna's Reptocal powder. My big girls seem to like it. They will eat it from my finger or off a little spoon. I suggest trying this brand. You can get it at your local Petsmart or Petco. :)

I've heard that Miner-all is a good powder for dusting. I actually tried looking for it and it wasn't at my local pet shops, so I had to go to a reptile specialty shop for it :p

Good luck getting your gecko to eat! I haven't seen that happen before, so I don't know what to say about it :x
