So I just noticed a week or so ago and Im not too worried but more interested if anyone knows about this turning into any kind of seruise dehydration issues....

The only time I notice her drinking is moisture off the either the side of the moist hide or out of a puddle in front of the moist hide.. never her water bowl. Just interesting.

Im going to weight her in a couple days and she's fluxuated a little. But I assumed it was casue she was ovulating. Now her tail looks really big and her stomach went back down to normal size. She looks healthy to me but if she's lost any more weight than Im going to set a date to the vet.

If the tip of the tongue is red it is a good indication that it isn't getting enough water. A good solid pink color indications proper hydration. Merry Christmas :).

Although most of mine drink water out of their bowl, I like to give them baths in luke warm water up to their legs once every week or two. When in their bath, tehy drink plenty of water and you could also get your hand wet, and let water drip onto the tip of their mount. They will then lick it off.

Leopard Geckos will drink water from a bowl if they are thirsty, but you won't always see it. They also get plenty of moisture from their feeders.

I have never heard of this.

i have read somewhere that for a gecko to always lay in the waterdish could be signs of a sickness or bad health. Not always but something i did read in a gecko book once.

I heard that if snakes lay in their water dishes alot, its a sign of mites. Not sure if that holds true for geckos.
