Hey, my female gecko (Pie) has only ate one cricket in the past 3-4 weeks. She is about 3 years old and at like 1 year old she has an infection in both eyes that made her blind. But she ate normally without my help by smelling the crickets, but now she wont eat anymore, Her tail is very skinny and she is very lively and active though. When i try to feed her live food, she tries crawling out the feeding bucket( have to use this because of blind)
We feed her turkey baby food, and sometimes with a mix of parasite killing medicine from the vet. But she is not getting any fatter
We use sand at times, switching to blanket and then woodchip thingys..
I will put towels now instead as it may cause impaction
I Put a nightlight for the night
And the daytime light temp is around 92 Degrees
Also have a feeling she may pass away in the next 2 weeks ;(

Also i have a male gecko in my pic who is same age and is blind also from eye infection. He right now is very healthy and eating whenever we feed him.

I'm confused that you say you give her medicine "sometimes". Medicine should be given in dosages according to your vet. If you over medicate you can hurt your geckos or stunt the recovery. I would try making the slurry with pro-biotics to boost her gut flora and see if that helps drive out any fungal or bacterial infections. Is she pooping everyday or every other day? What does her poop look like?

Okay what you should do is, like Adinar said, separate them and put them on paper towel for the flooring substrate. When they are separated you can get a better idea of if they are each pooping normally.

You could call or email your vet and tell him/her the size of the last dosage you gave your gecko and when you gave it to her.Tell the vet you saw no improvement and see what he/she recommends. I would not medicate her again at this point since you said the vet's directions for use were a while ago and she's in a weakened state.

Are you only using the heat lamp as a source of heat? If so, you need to get a under the tank heater (UTH) because leopard geckos require belly heat and the constant lights can stress them out-especially if they are albino.

If you think that she might be impacted you can give her a few drops of mineral oil and a warm water soak to help loosen things up a bit.

Let us know how things are going!

Thanks for the info, i will seperate them and put paper towels ect. I dont see any deformity on her belly so that probably rules out impaction. Ill buy a UTH soon.
Ill keep updated

No deformity does not rule out impaction at all.

You may want to try switching her to mealies (easier to hunt that crickets), make sure you are dusting the calcium and vitamins.
You can also hand feed the mealies easily. I am doing this now for my blind gecko.

When in doubt a call to a reptile vet is always in order.

no poop, i think its parasites because she is starving herself cause she has alot of opperatunity to get a meal.. The thing is she is not showing any signs of slowly dieing, she is very active and when picking her up, she tries to get out of my hand and run as fast as she could :p.. Unlike my male, what a gentle giant he is :)

Note: There is a cricket leg stuck in between her lips and i think some other kind of woodchip from along time ago. She wont let me take it out, unless i force her but i dont want to because i might harm her..

I would imagine it would, and probably make it hard to swallow prey too.

I would gently hold her and remove the stuck things with some tweezers.
Poor little gal will be pleased with you

ok sorry for no updates but,
Went to vet Friday and they gave her some antibiotics along with a high calorie/mineral pet gooey liquid.
She is doing fine and looks like she is putting on some weigh.
I never thought of opening her mouth by pressing on her jaws :p
