Okay, so I know I have mentioned this before and many of you have probably already talked to me about this. Kiya has not eaten anything in probably about two weeks.. maybe a little less than two weeks. At first when I mentioned to people that she had stopped eating I got a few different reasons why this could be. First, of course, was temperature. So upon recieving a rheostat I quickly set it up and adjusted her temperatures. It usually stays within 90-95 degrees. Once and a while it goes higher but I try to keep it within those ranges most of the time.
The second idea I recieved that it could be brumation. Well, I am still a little concerned because I do not know how long brumation lasts and I do not want her doing without food for a month... (There is always mealies ready in her environment for her).
Thirdly it was that she had just gotten tired of what was being given to her. I am not sure why exactly but she has stopped eating everything, including her favourite, mealies. I have recently picked up superworms and just before going off food completely she ate two of those and hasn't eaten since. I have also thought about getting into dubia roaches, hoping that would jog her appetite but atm cannot afford to start a roach colony. So I feel stuck, I am hoping someone can give me some ideas to jog her appetite, let me know how long brumation can last, or maybe some other ideas that have worked with getting geckos to eat again...
Thank you for any ideas ahead of time.
