As stated in another post, I was flipping through RT's book today. I came upon a short paragraph (pg 203) talking about dorsal/ventral segregation of color. Esentially, he states that it's unknown if there are any chromatophores present in the bellies of leos. He states no matter the morph, the belly is always white.
Well....eat your heart out RT! LOL This is Lilac. She's a high yellow, possible het LVPA. She has had this large blotch of yellow on her belly since the day I got her, and it's never changed. Sorry about the poor picture (the yellow isn't showing too well thanks to shadow) ...I'm sure you could see she was none too happy with what I was doing.
Has anyone seen anything similar on their geckos? She's the only one in my collection with any color on the belly.
