We are gonna start our 1st roach colony soon...& I hate roaches, so does my bf. I finally convinced him to get some by saying that his monitor wont get anything else to eat (lie), only roaches. I told him to do it for the lizards. So now we'll get them tomorrow & I get to be grossed out forever. Yuck!

I am just starting out my mealworm colony again. So far i only have 4 beetles. haha

My girl friend was squeaking about picking up some roaches out of one of our cages tonight and for the first time admitted that they aren't too freaky after all! I didn't have to do too much convincing to raise them though. I just told her that I was going to order some and start a colony. Her response was "Okay, just don't expect me to touch any of them!"

YES! Feeders are expensive, and the only place I can get super worms around here is a good half an hour away! I am really excited to get these started!

Well, I did have to bargain a bit, I have to give her one massage per week for the entire time I'm raising them!

YES! Feeders are expensive, and the only place I can get super worms around here is a good half an hour away! I am really excited to get these started!

Same thing here too, no place local to buy from even in a pinch. Sometimes I have a excess and sell off a few hundred supers to friends in our herp society.
