I found someone selling 100 mixed size for $42 (includes shipping) Is this a fair price, and enough to start a colony for my now 2, soon to be 3 geckos?

I've heard the average is $30 for 100 shipped, with a few places being just above and others just below.

I'm a little worried about using the roach guy though, because apparently he ships them in just a box? I tend to be a little squeamish about roaches, so this thought makes me go "ew...." Lol!

He ships in a double box.. The outside box is filled with newspaper and the roaches are within a USPS sealed box with egg crate. It's really not that bad. Just open it and shake them out into the tub.

I keep mine in a ~27qt tall sterilite type tub. I stack egg crate in there ontop of a divided cat food bowl (one side has water gel and the other has roach chow/cat food/cereal/oats/etc). The top of the tub is modified to have screen in it to allow air transfer. For heat I use a UTH stuck on the bottom of a ceramic tile which the tub sits on. :) Since you live in Tampa you shouldn't have any humidity issues so unless you see them having issues molting then I wouldn't mist them or anything.

Thank you....i'm new at this whole Dubia thing but i'm sick of buying crickets :) And if i get the 145 kit from him, that should be enough to start feeding them as well, or should i wait to exclusively use them as feeders?

As long as you don't feed off the mature females you should be okay. Keep the ratio of adult males to females about 1:3 (or even 1:2). As long as the temps are up they should breed. It takes the little ones a while to grow but I think you'll be okay.
