Dubia Roaches and Florida

I've heard that it's legal to send dubia roaches through the mail as long as both parties are inside the state of Florida. First off, is this true? Secondly, is there anyone in Florida who would be willing to sell some nymphs? I've been trying to find places who sell dubias to Florida for quite some time now, at least a couple of months. I'm now resorting to finding some from a reputable breeder inside the state of Florida. So, will anyone be willing to sell some dubia roach nymphs to me for my leos and crestie.

Thank you so much in advance and have a wonderful day!

From what I have read, that is not true and it is illegal to possess/multiply the species restricted for import into Florida.

A few good links...

Reference that indicates possession is illegal:

List of species allowed and prohibited by the state of Florida:

They're an invasive species and the state of FL doesn't want them getting out and taking over the habitats of native species. It would be silly for them to allow them to be bred by anyone so I tend to agree that what's you've heard is untrue.
