I just recently got a starter colony of 10 females, 2 males, and 40 nymphs. I have noticed two, what look like egg sacks, separated from the females just laying in the tub. Is something going wrong? Also I've lost 3 females in a weeks time. They have food, water crystals, and carrots. I also have hides and a uth keeping them at about 95 in the hot to 82-84 in the cool. Could they just be wore out breeders. Their only about a 1 1/4" to 1 1/2" long but they are mature. Males seems to be doing good and so do,the babies. I haven't seemed to have lost any of the babies nor the males.

Ive watched all the videos but the only thing I've seen about the egg sacks is talking about them attached, not falling off. They are about 1/2" to 3/4" long and just smaller than a pencil in diameter.

Females drop egg sacks if they are disturbed/spooked, stressed, or if the egg sack is not viable. Make sure they have enough places to hide (I use egg crates) and try to keep the environment stable with plenty of food and water to go around, and hopefully they will start producing for you.

Not sure on losing the females. Is it possible they were injured in shipping/transfer?

I guess it's possible they were pregnant when I got them and they got stressed getting moved to a new location and set up at most likely differrent temps etc. no more have died in the past couple of days so maybe things are getting better.
