I just bought some Dubias Roaches to start a colony. I'm going to evict the crickets in my cricket keeper and move the roaches into it. I live in San Diego so do you think i can keep them outside, or does the temp need to be even higher for them to breed? Any other advice pertaining to keeping this colony would be greatly appreciated as well!!!

Oh yeah, what should I feed them?

Thanks for all your help!!!

depending on the size of your cricket keeper, they are going to outgrow it fast. i keep mine in on of the sterilite tubs with egg crate flats stacked vertically. i keep apple slices and halved oranges in for food and water supply, as well as dried cat food for protein. mine have been fine in the garage where temps have been over 95 for the last couple of months, but when it gets cooler i have heat tape that i wrap around one side of the tub. the apples and orange also keep the humidity up as i only have small holes in the tub lid, but some use a screened lid. in that case you will have to mist the sides of the tub every few days to maintain humidity. they are a tropical species that require high humidity and temps. good luck with your colony though, i switched months ago and haven't looked back.
