Dumb Mealworm Question

I tried searching for an answer but couldn't find one. I recently ordered some mealworms from Grubco. I thought I ordered mediums, but received small ones (not that big of a deal). There were all alive with the exception of 2 so I was very pleased.

My question is will "small" mealworms eventually grow into "medium" and "large" mealworms with enough time or are they genetically small? I know it sounds ridiculous but I'm just wondering if I should start feeding these guys off, or giving them time to grow.

Small mealworms are just young ones. So yes they will grow larger, in time.

Yep, smalls will grow to medium and large, but they will not grow to the "giant" size, which are made by treating the mealworms with growth hormone.
