no its not bad to dust every feeding. It is all a personal choice though. I dust every feeding for some and every other feeding for others (adults get every other feeding and juvi's get every day) I also use Repashy Calcium Plus

Don't you guys think that is overkill? Everyday? vitamins and minerals are already in the food. It can reach toxic levels which will have long term consequences. Vit A and D should not be offered daily. Twice a week at most.

I dont feed every day (when I said every day for juvi I mean every feeding sorry) Adults get dusted every other feeding (which ends up being about once a week) and juvi's are fed every other day which means they get dusted three times a week.

oh, about the crickets wouldn't it be best to use a high calcium gutload to balance it? I do dust the crickets but every other feeding. I try to do the math since the gutload already has both calcium and calcium w/ D. It would exceed the amount per body weight weekly if it was used at every feeding. Plus the amount we don't know about they eat from their calcium dish. Too much calcium can do as much harm as not enough. Very difficult to achieve the perfect balance but I will keep working on it.

Do I still need a dish of calcium in tank at all times if I'm dusting 2 times a week with repashy calcium plus? If so, do I use any brand calcium or repashy calcium plus?

also it depends on the species of reptile when it comes to how much calcium with D3 is needed and how much sunlight they are getting. Mine are in tubs in a darkened room so mine might need more than say a leopard gecko that is kept in a tank near a window.
