My gecko seems to be a non stop eating machine. She has went through 100 (i bought 100...but that doesnt mean i got 100) meal worms in 4 days, and seems to be wanting more. She also poops everyday, sometimes 2 times. The food is always digested properly with no signs of undigested food. Is she just a big eater (and pooper) ? or is there anything that would gain anyones attention to throw a red flag?

Well my little guy doesn't eat that much, but usually poo's 2 times in a day.

Is the stool of good consistency?

She may just love those mealies :D

nothing runny and one solid "log". haha sorry i didnt know how else to put it.

She will eat the occasional cricket... but she would rather turn her nose at them. She loves her mealies.

How old is she?

I also have the same problem.

I thought I would gradually increase the amount of mealies she eats but only 5 days in from getting her and she ate about 23 tonight in the space of 20mins.

I have no idea how much she weighs but seems smaller than most pics I have seen on here.

Maybe she's just making up for lost time >.<

im not sure, Im pretty sure she is right at 7 months...maybe 8 months old. She is around 6 1/2 inches long, but im not sure of her weight, i really need to get a scale.. She ended up eating 7 medium sized crickets and 18 mealworms last night. She eats until she is full, then goes and basks in some belly heat. I guess I just have a little pig on my hand...:main_yes: . She seems so happy, and she is constantly moving/running around the cage after her long "day" periods.

I think the majority of my geckos eat that much.

The only think you have to worry about is your wallet!

Mine does the same. She downed about 25-30 mealies in one sitting once. And she wanted MORE! She's 7 months old too.

The way I see it, better this than them not eating enough.
