OK, I think Eba ate a wax worm yesterday. God, I wish I'd seen it happen so I'd be 100% positive. Both my kids are sick this week, so I'm a bit sleep deprived & my brain's about 23% functional. I put a 2nd in the cage, but no go for that one. Six days later & still no poop.

I found a local herp vet. He's associated with our wildlife rescue center, so I am confident that he'll be a good one. Now if Eba will cooperate, I can find out if she's stressed, a she or he and parasite free or not.

Man, it's like being a new mom all over again...did she eat? Is she breathing? She's not too hot is she? LOL.

I hope he/she did eat it. That would be great. I know what you mean about the worrying all the time. However, I think you are getting a little extreme with that haha. I'm just messin around. Hope the vet goes well!

I'm glad you were able to find a vet that sounds good in your area, and I think it's probably your best bet at this point. I totally understand your worries, if a new gecko of ours doesn't eat after three days I usually start to panic myself. Personally, I wouldn't be putting waxworms in his tank because it's very possible for a leo to become addicted to them. My only concern is that he hasn't eaten anything while in your care, and he may decide that's all he wants to eat and refuse healthy feeders. I'm not sure if anyone has suggested this or not *and it's sort of gross*, but take tweezers and a bug (cricket, mealworm, etc) and squeeze the guys out. Then wipe some of the guts onto your little guys mouth and he should start to lick it, and after that he may get excited and grab the rest of the bug from you. Hopefully soon he'll start eating on a normal basis for you!
