Eclipse, aptor, raptor

Seems likes there's a lot of confusion or typo on Ron tremper's site. Where did the eclipse come from? Seems like in the site it only says it came from the aptor project. Does that mean it came from aptor x aptor? Or did it come from the same project as the ones used to make the aptor?

I clearly remember sites stating that eclipse gene was "unlocked" from rev stripe x stripe. Along with the eclipse, the patterbless stripe was also produced. Is it safe to assume that both the eclipse and patternless stripe came from the same parents or the same project? Thanks

Yes, patternless stripe and eclipse were derived from one in the same. The Eclipse trait has been independently produced in colonies from recreating the pairings (stripe x reverse stripe.)

Many people consider patternless stripe animals as 'het eclipse' (if they are not visual eclipse), regardless of the pairing that produced it, simply because this is where the eclipse trait came from.

Likewise, eclipse animals have the capability of giving a range of patterns in offspring- from banded to patternless stripe, and everything in between.
