That would be a Diablo Blanco AKA Tremper Blazing Blizzard Eclipse unless you mean a Blazing Blizzard with Solid eyes... Those are just a fluke sadly..

Eclipse just means that the eyes are partially solid. They can be black or red eyed. The Eclipse eye gene comes from the Tremper albino strain. The gene has been isolated and incorperated into the other albino strains as with the RADAR Bells and the LV/RW Typhoon (coming soon).

Blizzards have their own eye thing going on, without the "Eclipse" trait---alot of blizzards and blazing blizzards have black eyes. I have 16 blizzards/blazing blizzards and the only one who doesn't have black eyes is the Blazing het Raptor?!? go figure :)

First of all the tyhpoon is already their at least thats what someone said in another forum which is no member here anymore.

So whatever.
Blizzards have own eye mutation. I have 3 BB one with solid eyes on with snake eyes one with marbeled eyes.
You will see if you have a true Eclipse on the BB as the red is mich higher.

BTW it also seems like you can find eye anormalities on Bell Albinos (have seen severel with "eclipse" eyes which obviously never saw an true eclipse eye gen and that goes somehow for some patternless geckos, too.

Eclipse just means that the eyes are partially solid. They can be black or red eyed. The Eclipse eye gene comes from the Tremper albino strain. The gene has been isolated and incorperated into the other albino strains as with the RADAR Bells and the LV/RW Typhoon (coming soon).

It seems as though there is some confusion about what exactly the names are for things. You can have snake eyes for eclipse eyes or blizzard eyes. Snake eyes are just the description for partially colored eyes.

With eclipse eyes (which are naturally black), adding an albino trait, Tremper, Bell, or Rainwater, gives you RAPTORs, RADARs, or Typhoons, respectivly.

With blizzard eyes (which are naturally black as well), adding an albino strain gives blazing blizzards (either tremper blazing, bell blazing, or las vegas blazing blizzards).

With the addition of any of the albino strains causes the eyes to turn red.

Hope this clears up some of this.

I have a so-called Diablo Blanco that I bought off of a breeder not too long ago. It is pretty white, with some yellow, but the eyes are solid black, not red. He assures that they are a 'deep' red color. Is there a possibility that it is a blazing blizzard with its blizzard solid eyes and not a DB? Thanks

Talbino eclipse blizzards same as Talbino eclipse paternless striped DON'T always have bright ruby red eyes. They DO come in dark ruby red eyes looking very much black looking.I would breed it to a proven Eclipse leo you'll soon find out for sure then.

If the eyes aren't red (or yellow in the case of the Xanthic) I'd say you have been had. I have a pair of DBs that I bought direct from the source and all of their offspring have had the same color eyes up to this point. They are definitely not black, without question. For your sake I hope there is some room for error. Good luck.
