Some cool pics I took a little while ago, figured I'd share! There's also a picture of the Eclipse.

Neato! Dont Abyssinians have some sort of like, hidden genes to unlock? I read it on leopardgecko.com, im just curious if they really are as interesting as theyre said to be.

He has the same genetic makeup of an Eclipse he just has almost no solid pigment in his eyes. As far as I've heard there haven't been any hidden genes in Absynians.

An Abyssinian is a gecko with red veins and a near-normal body color. All black on the body is concentrated brown. I understand its an eclipse. RT mentioned breeding these to RAPTORs sometimes had RAPTORs turn out.

Check out this article Matt from SaSobek Reptiles wrote "Eye Pigment"

He explains Abssinian as well. Here's a quote:
Abyssinian
“An Abyssinian is just an “Eye Pigmented”gecko, with out the eye pigmented.” It is not its own morph it is a term that is coined to tell what it is.
An Abyssinian is just an “eye pigmented” gecko that is not showing eye pigment but it will act genetically like an “eye pigmented” gecko.
It is called something different to distinguish that it is actually something it is just not showing what it is to the extent of what we are looking for. So its not just a “het” for the “eye pigment” it actually is the “eye pigment”

But this gecko here is a simple eclipse, it shows the eclipse, a little, but it shows it. This gecko also has red-veined eyes, and conentrated brown pigment. Ive heard the term from Sasobek and others to classify and Abyssinian as a gecko with eye pigment that doesnt show it, carrying the gene, but that doesnt explain the red veins, which is something i find interesting.

I suppose it makes sense in the case of RT trying to call it a new morph that could "unlock" interesting things, its because the eclipse gene is almost hidden in the phenotypes, but present, so breeding it to a RAPTOR would produce eclipses het for tremper. Is this gecko albino? I suppose it hasn't been stated whether or not it is. :p
