I was just at my local petstore and decided to look at the leos, and they had some luecistics, i pulled one out and looked at the eyes and it had 1 all black eye, and the other one was almost all black, with a little bit of color left. is this a normal trait for them, or is it part eclipse? im pretty bad with genetics, but i didnt want to miss it if it has good genes. i hope that made sense lol :main_huh:

There is no such thing as a leucistic leopard gecko at this time, so I can only assume you are talking about a Murrpy's Patternless since most pest stores mislabel them as such. There are cases where solid eyes even partially solid eyes pop up that are not related to eclipse so without test breeding there is no way to answer your question.

So what exactly IS an eclipse? I've been trying to figure this out for a while, is it just a gecko with solid or partially solid eyes that passes the trait onto their offspring?
