I was looking through some pics on my harddrive today, and found two of my dog Edelweiß. She's a white German Shepherd... and is just absolutely amazing. She's smart, loyal, loving, and comical. My aunt received her when she was 4 months old from a friend of her's that's on the Police Force. Edel's from Police stock, both of her parents are K9 officers. Anyway, my aunt's step son (who's autistic) was trying to throw her out of their apartment window. So, I drove down to Tampa, FL to pick Edel up. I got her when she was 10 months. Her name was originally "Lady", but I didn't think it fit her...so, I changed it to Edelweiß, or Edel for short. So, without further ado, here's Edel:

Wow, she's a beauty. So cute, and cuddly. I love the last pic...it looks like she's camera shy, and cover her face. LOL!

*lol* Thanks! She's pretty crazy :p She's not too cuddly unless she's knocked out...even so when she is...and snoring...if you go over and try to cuddle, she knocks you down and licks you :main_rolleyes:

Awww I love white shepherds... she's a stockey one... it's not often you see them that well built. Most I see are wimpy small boned narrow freaks with radar dish ears. She's a beauty.

Wow really Kel?

Sophies mom was pretty skinny but the breeder said the poor mom wouldn't eat after she gave birth because she was always worried about her pups. She's putting on weight now that they've all left though. She also had a cubby HUGE stalky (muscle and fat together) sweet female, she was a rescue. So sweet.

And all the ones I see people walking are handsome. Unless you mean only white ones? :S

NO Erica I was just referring to the white ones hon. They're all small boned, giraffe legged radar dish ears and horribly thin coats. Not at all what a shepherd should be. Now I baby sit/board for a client of mine who has a beautiful black and tan sable shepherd named Keba... hes about 120 pounds of solid german tank. He went thru my puppy program at 12 weeks and we've been together ever since. He's 4 now :) I have a pic of him somewhere I need to dig out. He is an OMG dog for sure.

Yeah, Edel's a bit stocky. I know what you mean about most of them being skinny. She's a sweetheart though.

I've been fighting insomnia recently myself. It comes and goes about every 2 years. I call it inZOMBIa...because I feel like a zombie sometimes. I'll go to sleep around 5 am, and up again around 7am. Thank goodness for coffee.
