EEEEK Blood in the tank!

So I woke up this morning and went into my gecko's room and there was blood in the tank that my male is in. He is housed alone so it must have been self-inflicted. I freaked and opened the top to find that one of his toes looked bloody and another had a tiny bit of stuck shed to it. He must have shed last night because I check him everyday. So I got the shed off his one toe and touched the other toe to make sure it wasn't still bleeding. His red toe appears to be fine now other than the red part. I'm guessing he bit it when trying to get his shed off. What should I do? Should I put something on it to help it or should I just leave it be? I did nothing so far, just put him back and let him get in his humid hide where he likes it.

I had sorta the same thing happen to me, except it was the tip of his tail after shedding I just added a little creme to it and it's all healed up.

Even though it probably wasnt, i woudl just look at his cloaca to make sure it wasnt a prolaspe. Ive heard of people getting blood when their males prolaspe. Jusst look, dont stick anythign up the cloaca or anything.

Thanks guys, everything was fine on that end Paul. His toe looks bruised today, just a little black and blue but he is walking on it and still eating so he seems to not be hurting. There is no open wound anymore, it seems to be closed up. i put a little neosporin on it, he looks like hes ok now. Thanks
