Egg Bound?

My gecko hasn't laid in 57 days (8 weeks 1 day) and is happily eating, staying in laying box, and is 53 grams. Her Pouches under her arm are very full. you can see the eggs in her egg pouch. I am :main_huh::main_huh::main_huh:

Maybe she's down to her last set of eggs.
They sometimes take longer, and she sounds well supplemented, but maybe she needs a smidge extra calcium. It's needed to help produce the hormone that makes the oviduct contract efficiently. Like oxytocin in humans.

One of my observations, that I don't think I have heard mentioned (and I really hope it isn't some huge controversial thing, because that isn't my intent), is my female geckos tend to lay on or near full and new moons. You'll get the occasional gibbous-moon cycle female, but it has been fairly reproducible in my collection.

We're about 3 days out from the next full moon. I'd wait until then, but maybe call a vet today and give them a head's up you might need to bring her in Monday.

ok thanks, but there is 1 problem, the nearest exotic animal vet is in texas, school tomorrow, another trip over weekend, and then 1 more week of school. can you fit in a trip to the vet?

full moon pasted for me, still no eggs............ starting to get worried. 60 days. still have no pictures, mom has camera and she is not home :(
