Egg discovery

I'm brand new to all of this. I have a proven pair of geckos (actually I just got word her first 2 eggs have hatched at the pet store!:main_thumbsup:) and we're waiting for a couple eggs. I have everything ready. My question is, how long do you have for the egg(s) to be good before you notice them and get them in the incubator? I have a cool, humid box with vermiculite for her to lay in.
Thanks!

You've generally got a day or so, unless she buries them really well. I think it's best to get them 1-3 hours after they're laid right after they firm up a tad bit, but I've only caught them that way 2 or 3 times...most of the other times, I find them buried. (I have lost a set from not finding it, but it wasn't a fertile set and it wasn't in the hide. Classic "water balloon" eggs)

I'd also move the humid hide to the warm side. What's the substrate in it?

I actually have 2 humid hides, one with vermiculite and one with moistened paper towels.
I never thought about moving one to the warm side. I thought it was supposed to stay cool?
They were at it again this morning. ;) (Dumb question) Will he still do the wild thing with her even if she's already got fertile eggs in her? (We're hoping she does anyway!... I can't really tell.)
