Hi Everyone:

Okay, don't laugh and I am looking for actual responses. I am going to leverage large size deli containers for lay chambers, however what to the breeder use to make a hole in the top? Scissors (I know..... but if you use something else, please post). My concern is the edge of the circle (opening) cutting the gecko?

Thanks!

I use a hole saw, but my lids are pretty thick plastic. I think a hole saw might obliterate the thin lids on a deli cup (but I haven't tried.)

never done this for this particular use, but i f i need to cut holes in deli lids (bait containers for fishin in my case) just use a box cutter to cut holes in deli cup lids. balloonz4u's suggestion about the lighter to the edges to dull them is a clever suggestion...

I use a small cutter to cut out holes then smooth the edge by sand paper. If I need to make opennings to the side of any plastic container, I use one of those model-making saw (with string-like blades).

I use a box cutter and file down. The idea of using a lighter is great though... why didnt I think of that?!?
