egg laying?

would it be okay if you move the gravid female into a different cage besides my display tank so she can lay her eggs, when she is in her display tank she often times just lays her eggs on the rocks or in the sand and not in the egg laying box. so would it be okay to move her to a plastic storage bin with paper toweling and plenty of hides until she lays her eggs, she should lay with in the day

It wouldn't hurt to try moving her. My only real concern is you say on the rocks or in the sand. You should never use sand for a leo. It is very dangerous for their health. Good luck with your eggs.

There isn't alot of sand "in the wild" where leopard geckos live.

The can swallow it and it can cause impaction. Just use Paper towels much safer and easy to clean.
