Eggs are 5 days old...question

This clutch was laid in not ideal conditions as we were not ready. They were laid on the cooler side of the cage on top of dry sphagnum and she pulled the toilet paper on top of them! I found them the next morning and immediately put them in an airtight container with wet vermiculite in an area of the 29 gallon tank that is 85+/- degrees (ambient).
The eggs are dented. Is that normal? Should they be hard by now? I am guessing they are not viable.
Thanks in advance for any input.

Doesnt sound like they are good. You used the word "wet" vermiculite. The vermiculite should be barely moist to incubate eggs.

Regarding the vermiculite... I did the snowball and squeezed it until only a drop or two of water was dripping. That's what I had read. Hope it is right. I will continue incubating just in case.
