eggs to dry?

How do you know if you have enough water in the perlite? I've always used Albey's method with no problem but this year it seems like the eggs are too dry. How do you tell? I have dew on the container sides, and usually half bury the eggs, so is that enough?

If you are seeing condensation on the sides of the egg container, there is enough moisture.

the question is, how do you know when theres to much moisture? how much condinsation is to much? Ive been opening my egg containers every few days just to make sure not to get to much moisture built up

Too much would be condensation on the lid, where it can drip directly on to the eggs.

This is how I incubate all my eggs and never have a problem unless I use cheap containers allowing too much air in...Then the perlite dries out. You do have to be careful not to have too much moisture as it can cause your eggs to mold.
