Eggs!

I woke up this morning to find my female in her moist box, kicking vermiculite over a pair of newly laid eggs. Immediately I took the eggs out, and decided to candle them. One of them felt kinda mushy to the touch, and had a yellow internal color when candled, so I'm 95% sure it's infertile:( . But the other one seemed good. It was firm to the touch, and had a pink-ish internal color and I could even see the veins, so I'm 99.9% sure it is fertile:D . I put both in the incubator (cuz of the rule of thumb with eggs that look infertile). That would be amazing if the one that looks infertile turned out to be good though. Either way, I'm just happy that one of them is probably fertile.:main_yes:

Congratulations, Danny! It's a good thing to incubate both eggs just in case. Sometimes it takes a day or two before the candled eggs show veins, and newly laid eggs can be softer and yellow inside. Usually, if the egg feels like a limp water ballon, it's not fertile.

Now, I know you will be excited, but if you are using an hovabator avoid opening it unless it necessary. The more you open and close it, the harder time the wafer controller will have to stabilize the internal temperatures.
