Eggs

Okay so I have pics of my gecko on my cell phone but cannot tell if she is holding eggs or not. I will be out of town and not be able to use the internet so if you would like to txt me at 516-398-1982 (If that doesn't work add a 1 in front of 516). Anyways, I have pics and if you would like to see my gecko and tell me if she is pregnant or not that would be great. I tried loading my pics to my photobucket account but my phone won't allow me to log into my account.

Yes. She has been with a male.

When do you think she will lay? Looking at the pictures. She mated with the male June 15 ish and ovulated on the 20 if I remember correctly.

Ya she is definetely gravid. She could lay anytime. It usually takes two weeks to lay but could be sooner.

She will shed soonish, and within a few days lay the eggs. Good luck!

Thanks for the feedback. But just 1 LARGE problem! I won't be home for a week(leaving tomorro) and she looks like she is about to shed. What do I do?

Unless you have some one who can check for eggs while you're gone, you're going to have to just hope that they are still ok when you get home, or that she hasn't laid yet. Make sure you give her a humid hide, and try to keep it's temps somewhere between 80 and 90 degrees F.

My cool side of the tank stays at a constant 80F so I will put it a bit closer to the warm side and it should be around 83 there. I really hope she can hold the eggs in until Wednesday... When will she lay her next clutch? its 2-4 weeks after laying the eggs she currently has correct?

Oh and BTW this is her first clutch.

She is due soon, but if she is a first year female and this is her first clutch, there is a good posibility that the first clutch may be infertile anyways. Otherwise the cross your fingers method is the best course. good luck

Got the girls tank setup. She has 50 mealworms sitting in a dish, fresh water and paper towels. And a freshly moistened lay box. All I have to do is cross my fingers she doesn't lay until I get back... I am leaving in an hour so I will post back here ASAP to tell you guys if she did lay eggs or not and pics of the eggs if they were laid. I'm soo nervous this will be my first set of eggs!

Update*

Just got home today at 8pm and an upstairs to see my pregnant female just finish shedding. So how long until she lays? I just setup a DIY incubator consisting of a 10g tank, water and a fish tank heater. Its looking good so far. Im soo happy I cant wait.

5-9 days.

I'm kind of going into a situation like yours. I'm going on vacation for 9 days from July 9-18. My female layed her first clutch May 25, and her second June 24. I'm hoping she will lay 30 days later again, on the 23. But after the 18th would be great. I need some females so this clutch is important because the only fertile eggs I have right now are males.

So she could lay 5-9 days from now? I though that she layed within 24hrs of her pre lay shed?

She just layed her first egg! She has yet to lay another at 1:05 am. I went up at 10:00 pm and saw her with 1 egg and it looked like she tryed laying another but she has yet too. The egg is still soft but its in the incubator anyways. Should it still be soft 2-3 hours later?

It should not be soft (like a water balloon) it should be firm (like a marshmellow). Sounds like she laid a 1 egg clutch which was infertile
