Patrick, I've always liked the ones with white tails also, but I like the highly speckled variety as well... It can probably be done in every Enigma combo/morph except for non hypo Bells...

that's what I was referring to, Eyelids.....what causes an Enigma to develop the speckles, is it perhaps genetic? My first and obvious assumption is that the speckled tails are the result of an Enigma crossed to a non-Enigma producing an Enigma??? And thus that the solid white tails are from EnigmaxEnimga pairings....hmmmmm

That would actually be cool, but I don't think it's the cause... There's been far too many produced compared to the amount of people doing Enigma x Enigma breedings... On the other hand, I think it'd be safe to assume that the speckled ones are from outcrossing (non Bell at least)...

Have a look at Kelli's original group...

Normal ones are white and the Bells are speckled...

Kelli, does that bring back memories? They've sure come a long way fast! I still think your original ''Red Eyed'' male is the coolest gecko ever...

Well, I don't have much enigma experience yet, but my enigmas black speckles tend to come and go. One day her tail will be covered in speckles, the next day nearly completely white. It also seems to happen on her head, but when they fade on her head they just look like tang spots instead of completely gone.

i have one of the first offspring from that male red eyed enigma (my avatar), he looks like his dad, he's from enigma x enigma, all his offspring so far have been enigmas (so he's probably homozygous) his tail's highly speckled but his outcrossed offspring vary massively from pure white tails to almost totaly covered leaving almost no white, don't think there's any way to determin what the offspring will look like because the enigma gene works so randomly
