Enigma to Enigma Breeding

I have read that you shouldn't breed engima's together because it makes the syndrome worse. Is that true? I'm going start working with Enigmas this year and noticed the 2 copy option on the morphs calcs and it got me wondering if this was still the best practice or was the only a rumor when the enigma first came about.

Any light that can be shed on this would be greatly appreciated.
