I know this has been talked to death Im sure, I cant seem to find in looking back so Im asking. In layman terms can someone tell me what makes an enigma. Im not understanding what classifies as an Enigma.
Thanks and I apologize if Im beating a dead horse here.

Well, carrying the enigma gene makes an enigma... Being a genetic trait you don't need to know anything else.

It's not like in selective bred traits, that people need to stablish a 'standard' that describes the trait to consider if a gecko has or hasn't a certain trait.

This is what is known about enigmas, please, correct me someone if I'm wrong:

- They are a dominant trait (probably)
- They have slightly golden eyes, few spots and pastelish background colors
- When a gecko is both enigma and (homozygous) Bell albino, the albino coloration is not expressed in the body (they have black spots), only in the eyes. The eyes are blood red and the pupils are black (that's what it looked to me in the pics I've seen, but someone that owns an albino enigma will be able to tell you better ;)). It seems that when combined to an albino they have a more intense coloration and more spotting.
- I know that someone has a Mack snow enigma, it was discussed some time ago, but I don't know if it has any special characteristic.

It was discovered by the Bells and they gave Kelli at HISS enigmas to test breed and sell for them.

RT doesnt think they should be sold publicly yet because "they havent been test bred long enough to know if they breed true." Kinda like how he bred his giants for 35 years before releasing them to the public to make sure they bred true before selling "hets" to the public, and especially how he figured out everything behind the APTOR/RAPTOR morphs and made sure they bred true 100% of the time before releasing them too. :main_rolleyes: :rolleyes2: (note: im being sarcastic here)

since they came from bell lines and some of them are homozygous bells as well, all nonalbino enigmas are possible het bells. If not het bells.

Bet it's got more to do with him being a little p****ed as they kicked his RAPTORblizzard to the kirb right at the time of him selling them :main_yes: getting a enigma is one thing as we don't understand it's genetics so can't do one from scratch your self but do know the gene DOES pass's on.But if you own a RAPTOR and a blazing blizzard making RAPTORblizzard your self is farly esay to do.

Funny how people's ethics can change with the situation. :main_laugh:
