One of my females has been off feed for about 2.5 months now, because of her ovulation(she has not been bred). I havent been bothering her much, because she is probably under a fair bit of stress because of ovulating and being off feed. This morning I checked up on her, and turned her over to see if she's still ovulating and sure enough, she is. But while being flipped over I noticed that her liver (or atleast thats what I think it is...black spot in the centre of her body) is alot bigger than I've ever noticed.
She lives in a 30 gallon tank, hot side 94-96. cool side is usually around 76F.
Now, I was wondering if this could be because of her being off feed...or other health complications?
Before her ovulation she weighed in at a solid 80g's, but as of last night she is down to about 59g's and noticeably skinnier, she's still fairly active.
I can try to get pics if you guys want, but my camera is from the 1800's so they wont be greatest.
Let me know if there's anything else you want to know, and I'll do my best to answer .
Thanks in advance guys! Much appreciated.
