it appears that lola decided to go on a xmas vacation without permission, argh this xmas couldnt get any worse. I didnt check the tank this morning but after getting home tonight i noticed that godzirra was the only one home. the only possible route to get out of the tank is scaling the thermometer wire that is taped in the corner of her tank, out the hole in the back of the bookcase, and a 3ft drop to the floor

what are good sources of heat for a gecko trap, should i just rip off my second unsued uth for my other tank?

check under the fridge, dark and warm places like that. put out a hide and a bowl of mealies (or whatever you feed). make sure to put these things against the wall, not out in the middle of the room- they're more likely to run into them there. a normal human heating pad will suffice for a little while, dont ruin your other uth. check piles of clothes on the floor. watch where you step and dont give up hope!

i just added a hide against the wall in my room, worried she might have gotten out but never know had a towel on the door ever since, and i search the roomates rooms once a day and they look for her also, i just fed my male mealworms for the first time and he took them, i am putting a bowl of them out for her tonight hoping she will become a first time feeder also

I always found they dont travel far. The few that I have that are crafty enough to escape always seem to go for dark cramped spots. Never really far from the cage. But I would definatly put down a heating pad under something he could crawl into. Do a tripple check. Mine never left the room they were in. Even with the door wide open. I always seem to find them after ripping the room apart a third time. Good luck.

I think your best chance of finding an escapee is within the first
24 hours. They tend to not go far if they can find a dark hidding
place close by. Concentrate your search efforts at night, when
she is most likely to hunt for food.
Most folks do eventually find them in good condition.
Good luck, and keep us posted.

Good luck!

You know mine can spot a cricket keeper from across the room. Why don't you leave one out with a heat pad.
