Does someone have any experience with the heat cables by Exo-Terra or know someone who does?

What I'm asking is if these cables produce enough heat to heat up leopard gecko racks or breeding boxes?

I understand that most use flexwatt heat tape but I was considering if this solution works. Thanks for the help.

Ive read recently that one person was temporarily using heat cable until their heat tape came in. I dont have experience with cable but i like the tape :)

I use this on one of my racks. It's ok but the thing is that its a very small area for your geckos to get heat. Obviously you can make more than one run with it to give a bigger warm spot. Also it's not able to get up to 90 degrees fahrenheit (at least for me). So if I were you then I would just go with flexwatt heat tape.

I'm now using ZooMed heat cable on a few racks and if installed underneath reaches ideal temperatures and beyond, having to lower them through a digital thermostat.

I have used Zoo Med heat cable for a rack and it worked great. I routed the wood so it sat flush with the shelf, and put foil tape above and below it. I think the foil tape might have helped disperse and retain heat. I used three passes for 15 qt tubs and two passes for 6 qt tubs, each pass was two inches apart. Though I would recommend heat tape over heat cable.
