I'm looking at these new, (well new to me) nylon mesh enclosures marketed for reptiles, any one have any experience, or comments on them, good bad?...

I thought they might be something I could put a few baby cresties in,
tanks are just SO heavy and cumbersome, these SEEM like a great idea, so I'd love to know what every one thinks!

Thanks, D

found a new on called Flexarium, any thoughts on this too?

I used to use one of these for my old Chameleon. It worked alright, but there are some flaws to it.

1. It ripped pretty easily on the bottoms and sides, so crickets, etc escape sometimes.

2. You have to also buy a plastic bottom for it to keep water/etc from falling through.

3. The zipper would sometimes get caught very easily...ripping.

4. It seemed to me that the crickets were able to chew through it (maybe I was being paranoid)

While that seems like a laundry list of complaints, I don't think they are terrible...just make sure you handle it carefully if you decide to get one...also realize that this was just one dudes experience :)

cool, thanks for the link,

I'm kinda leaning towards the cylindrical ones, the explorarium..... because they can fold down nice and neat, space is at a premium here... before I know it reptiles will take over the kitchen and bathroom too!....lol.....

anyhoo, I searched and I searched and I SEARCHED for something bigger, and cheaper than the largest 24/36 round, I KNOW I've seen something like a pop up hamper with a zip close lid, but couldn't find what I was after, I might just have to GO to an actual store and check them out......LOL,,, reptiles in a hamper......LOL......

I would suggest the one I linked you in taht case.

I think it would be safe,,,and you could put a heat lamp on top and a water dripper..if need be. It doesnt lose its form like the "pop up" type enclosures...:)
