Yep, so I've had my gecko for about 15 days now. he was generally calm and actually would walk up to my hand when i would change water and stuff. That has drastically changed,.. It began on the 6th day, i was changing the water and he came and inspected my hand, as i was lifting the water it slipped,.. landed right on the end of his tail. I quickly picked it back up hoping i didnt sever his tail, too late. It had already came off and he bolted into his warm hide. Day 7 I started to apply neosporin to his tail so he doesnt get an infection, i was told to do this by the pet shop owners. He would still let me touch him then and sometimes would walk up into my hand, i was still in the process of taming him. About 3 days ago, he stopped coming out of his hides, even at night. He only eats if I place his food in the hide with him now. His hide needed to be cleaned so i tried to get him out, no good. So i waited and eventually he moved to his moist hide and i could clean the poop out of the other one. I decided i would put neosporin on his tail again since he had his tail near the poop. i lifted the other hide and before i could even get my hand near him he started to scream. It made me jump at first but i proceeded to put my hand next to him, he immediately lunged at my wrist and clamped on full force. I've never felt a gecko bite this hard, i pulled my hand up and he was still clamped on, i eventually gently pulled him off but he bit me again right next to the other bite, i quickly got him off and put him back down. I looked at my hand and it was pretty bad for a gecko, tore flesh off and my hand was bleeding pretty bad. Since then every time i just reach into his cage, like to change water put mealies in, he either starts screaming or bolts after my hand. He was very docile when i first got him and after the tail fell off, any ideas on why the aggression just randomly boosted? P.s.: hes a leo, not a tokay
