Hi everyone,
My Leo is around 6 years old now. Temps are fine (70-75 on cool side, 90-95 on warm). She is pampered
8 days ago I came home from vacation and noticed one of her eyes looked milky and glossed over. I concluded she had a piece of shed stuck in her eye, just floating around in there.
I used a mixture of warm soaks and saline/q-tip to gently nudge it out but it was being a bugger and wasn't falling out on its own. Once I eventually got the shed out enough I gently pulled on it to remove it. It was a bigger piece then I thought! and part of it had been lodged within her eye lid.
Once removed I put her back in her cage and she seemed to go about her way.
The next day I noticed her eye was shut. I concluded it was probably irritated from me getting the shed out, so I watched it and let her be.
Several days later she still hadn't opened the eye so I took her out to investigate. I put her in a warm soak for about 15 minutes and she would occasionally lick the eye and eventually opened it.
It didn't look milky any longer, but it seemed to be "crying". With no bump or swelling I figured this was still irritation.
It's been several more days now and she only seems to open that eye if I take her out. I managed to take a few pictures in hopes that someone here may recognize if this is an infection or just irritation.

It's worth noting I used a good amount of saline solution in her eye to get the shed out. I've also given her just a drop of that each day for the last few days. Given the amount I used, I wonder if that caused the irritation.
Thanks so much!
