Eye Infection?

I believe my juvie leopard gecko male has an eye infection from a possible bad shed. He barely opens it and when he does it has a cloudy/foamy liquid over it. A friend of mine recommended i try lighty spraying the eye once a day. He did this one of his geckos with an eye infection and it helped. Its been close to a month now and still no improvements. My gecko has just now started to slow down eating. Im worried the infection may be getting worse. And unfortunatly the closest herp vet is 4 hours away. Any help is very much appreciated. Thanks for the help.
Sorry no camera for pictures.

dose your gecko get a varied diet? with enought vitamin A in its diet? any loose substraite?
if there is no vet the only thing you can do is flush some sterile saline (used for contact lens wearers) into the leopard gecko’s eye. You can purchase sterile saline (get one that is preservative-free) at any pharmacy, and gently squirt saline into and around your leopard gecko’s eye. Do not force it under your leopard gecko’s eyelids and do not apply any pressure. Also, do not allow the tip of the saline bottle to touch your leopard gecko’s eye or lids as germs will spread.
if its been that long you should realy see a herp vet. sounds like it needs a small dose of antibiotics (i have been given 0.2ml of baytril 2.5% for oral) to help fight the infection. is there no other non herp vets around that would see the gecko and possibly give the meds?

this web site is quite good to work out dosages. you could show it to the vet if they are unsure about herp dosages
