I have 2 geckos, Sushi and Peanut. I got them from a friend because "she didn't have the time to take care of them", so one of them had no tail when I get them, seeing as the other had eaten it.
Now, I'm doing my best to take care of them. I've had them for 4-5 months now, and I try my best to research a lot.
I do my best to help with their sheds if they get stuck, as Peanut often does.
I 'steam' them.
I take a tupper ware container, and lay paper towel in it, and heat it with water. drain the extra water, and let it cool a teeny bit, then put the gecko in with the lid on, not tightly, just loose, so air can get in.
When the paper towel gets cool, I heat the container using a heat lamp for a minute or two, and then continue 'steaming'. I do this for about 10-20 minutes,
It usually helps.
But lately, Peanut's eye's have been weird. One is stuck shut with shed. So I'm trying steaming, and I've been taking shed out of her eyes with tweezers. She is very temper mental and hates me and anyone else, so I do my best. I haven't hurt her yet.
Her other eye is wide open, all the time. It looks like the shed is pulling on it, making it tight and unable to close. I'm worried.
She has also been scratching at her back, to the point of bleeding.
Please help!
