Here's a Marble Eye (from a B-rated camera) to add to the goodness :D

I think mine is a Kodak 1025z (or something like that) 10megapixel... This is the "limit" of my camera's zoom+quality. The quality of Kristi's camera is clearly superior. :)

One tip I can recommend is getting down to the geckos level. I do that with babies, animals, etc.

Very true! For the best-detailed eye-pics (especially with lower quality cameras, like mine), I set the camera down firmly on the surface about 8inches from the Leo....this is the closest distance that my cameras will properly focus. After I am as close as I can get (with a proper zoom/focus achieved), I use the computer to digitally zoom in on the eyes. After i find the best pics, I "crop" ("cut + paste") the eye to create a pic that is just a large zoomin on the eye. :)

Kind of a lengthy process, but placing the camera firmly on the surface prevents blurry pictures and gives the best possible results.

I actually don't do it to rest the camera on anything (I just hold it). I do it to get a good shot at the level of the animal. It definitely helps with eye pics.
