i work at a fish and reptile store and i am in charge of the herps. so we have leos.
well. i have a leo right now that has an eye infection. i have seen it quite a few times before. none of the others ever recovered. She is doing very well considering.
the eye doesnt swell at all, just gets gooped shut. when i moisten it and open it, there is a "lid"-for lack of better word- of "sleep" or some other build up in the eye, sometimes just on the top or bottom, occasionally covering part of the eye. i get it out either bu flushing with eyedrops or if it is a big chunk just pulling it out carefully. this seems to help for a few days then the eye shuts again.
she is currently down one eye but at one point both were infected. i dont know how one got better and the other didnt. i did the same thing to both eyes. I wish i had a pic but i always forget to take my camera to work. it looks kinda like the eye infection thread a few before this but no swelling and the goop is more localized than spread out.
