I won't be breeding my geckos for a while but I want to make sure I know all the genetics I need to know. Leopard geckos eyes have always fascinated me. I'm not talking just enigma, eclipse, and snake eyes. Though I want to know how those traits are passed I also want to know how actual eye colors are passed. I once had a baby blizzard that had the most amazing eyes I've ever seen. They were a steel gray, almost blue color. I've such a nice range of eye colors out there and it doesn't seem like they're morph specific in a lot of cases. I don't see much discussion about this so I'd love to learn as much as possible.
I already know that when I start breeding I'm probably going to be pretty eccentric with it. I'm an obsessive note taker so I'm pretty sure if anyone ever gets a baby from me it's going to have the longest history sheet on the face of the earth. It's also been suggested to me to see if my blazing blizzard's nastiness is genetic to see if it's possible to breed personality traits into geckos. So if I'm going to be this eccentric I might as well breed for eye colors.
