Fat baby

I have a baby (3.5 months old) that I hatched out... my first hatchling. She is a GOOD eater and I've always heard not to worry about overfeeding a baby. Problem is, she is F-A-T! She has a very fat tail and pouches under her arms.
So, should I cut her back at mealtime? As it sits, I have mealies always available. But she's still so young!
Thoughts?

the pouches under her arms are calcium sacks i belive. nothing to do with how much she eats, i belive it is where they store there calcium.

These look like calcium deposits on top of fat! lol My fattest adult has them most of the time. They are small compared to the baby's.
She actually has a double chin.

That's what I was guessing but I needed someone to agree with that! :main_yes:
I suppose I'll play it by ear and put her on a diet, if needed, when she's all grown up.
At least I'm complaining she's fat and not that she's not eating! My last hatchling took over 30 days to take her first meal. I thought I was going to lose her.

I found that I am a heavy duster when it comes to suppliments, and excess shows in different ways with different species. I had a chameleon and could only dust half his feeders. So I dust every other time to keep leos from having calcium pockets, even tho Rephashy's is for every feeding, if they have ever shown excess. That way I know they get all they need wthout it being too much. Juvs have done fine with daily dusting of their one superworm, but if they want another then I don't dust that one. No need to limit their food if they want more but maybe cut back a little on the suppliment.

There will come a time when shes an adult and she'll be going through a hunger strike or she'll become gravid and then you'll be glad she's a hefty weight. She can then afford to lose a couple of grams.I would nt put her on any diet.
