Hello,

I'm new to this forum. But I will be leaving for college in Florida in two weeks, and I will be there for about two years. I have had a Fat Tail Leopard gecko since I was 10, I'm now 20. She is very healthy, and she looks great. I don't want to sell her, I want to donate her to a caring home, as to the fact that I was very loyal to her for ten years, and I feel that she deserves the same care that I was able to give. I will not ship her, pick up only. Everything is included that is in the picture. Her name is "Chompers" She only eats live crickets. And has lived alone, I'm not sure how well she would do with another leo.

Thanks,

If you're interested in still having her after you get settled into school, I would be happy to foster her for several months. We vend at Orlando Repticon shows, not far from your campus, and will be there toward the end of Oct. This would give you a chance to get situated in a new home and ample time to prepare for her without being worried about her care in the meantime. I have plenty of supplies so you could move her belongings with your stuff. Just throwing out an option, I realize you didn't want to ship and are looking for someone local.

How much would you charge for this, I would definitely be interested in this!

Thank you,

I wouldn't charge anything but you would have to ship her down, then I can bring her to Orlando for you when we come for Repticon in Oct.

How would I go about shipping her down? I have never shipped a live animal through UPS or Fed Ex. How much does it usually cost? (This won't be an issue, I just am wondering what how much) Will she be ok, this is my main concern.

Thanks again,
Eric Svizeny

Do you want to swap information so we can have each-others contact information? I can PM you my cell and my facebook.

Check out shipyourreptiles.com to get a shipping quote. You can ship as an individual, and do not have to have a UPS or FedEx account. We use them a lot. Expect shipping to cost around $50, and you can purchase an insulated box from them. They also have a video of how to properly pack your animal. My one suggestion is to not feed the animal for 24 hours before shipping. We find a lot of them that get fed close to shipping tend to regurge. Of course much of the US is too hot right now to ship, but at least you can do your research now.

We had a snake shipped from Cali last week with a 40 hour cold pack, it was just fine even tho its so hot this time of year. There was crumpled newspaper packed tight inside as well for additional insulation. When I know we have a live animal coming, I make certain to be home and watch for the truck.

We are looking for a Leopard Gecko for my son

My son has been asking for a leopard Gecko for the last three birthdays. He just turned 12 last week & we said he could finally get one. We are in the process of researching proper care & I came across your forum. Is your Gecko still available? We live in Phoenixville PA & could drive over to pick her up. Please let me know ASAP. We would like to get one this weekend if possible.

Thanks-
Patty
