I hope it's not too late. Take a look at this page: http://insected.arizona.edu/Manduca/

From http://insected.arizona.edu/Manduca/mand_adult.html
The proboscis, which first appeared as a conspicuous "jug-like handle" in the pupa, becomes a tightly-coiled siphon in the adult. Unlike the chewing mouthparts of the larvae, this siphon can be uncoiled and used like a soda straw to sip nectar, the adults' only food.

Apparently nectar can be replaced with sugar water: http://insected.arizona.edu/Manduca/Rear_reargbox.html
Cut a tiny hole in the top of the rearing box, feed the hanging line through this hole from the inside of the box, and secure it with tape. Add sugar water to this feeder just before the adult moths emerge.

Get a Humming bird feeder and use sugar water or humming bird feeder food. Good luck!

Made some sugar water and an artificial feeding tube as well as offered them a plant with deep lobed flowers but they didn't take to it and perished after a couple weeks.
