I was wondering,is it okay to feed crickets in a different container :main_huh: ?I mean,it must be a hassle catching uneaten crickets in the gecko cage.By doing this, will it stress the gecko out and it will have no apetite to eat?

I have tried this and the geckos seem more interested in the new enclosure than the food. Whether it is from stress or curiosity I don't know.

I usually feed one of my geckos in a different container. I think her eyesight is a little off (even though she appears to be fine) because, left to her own hunting skills in the cage, she'll miss the cricket a lot more often than her tank-mate does.

When I realized this, I started hand-feeding her (which I still do sometimes, because it's fun), but I realized she hunted a little better in a small tupperware, where the crickets couldn't run too far away (maybe it's her depth perception that's screwy?) and where she didn't have to compete for food.

After the first try, it was smooth sailing. I usually feed her first in the container, and then dump a bunch of crickets in the tank for the other gecko.

Oh, and like Tony C, I tend not to remove uneaten crickets; they don't last too long in there anyway.

I always feed in a separate container. I use an old 20 gallon tank and I covered the bottom and 1 or 2 inches of the sides with white duct tape. I used white so the crickets will stand out. Cover the corners well so they can't crawl under the tape.
I clean it with vinegar/water mix and this has worked out very well.
